Question: Dear doctor
Early march 2017 i had protected sex with a CSW.And on July 14 i have all the hiv symptoms night sweat, sore throat, fever, and etc..20 days later on 2.Aug i did a Eclia combo test hiv1/2 ag/ab and the result came out as not detected(negative).

My question is.
Is my test conclusive???
Do i need to take another test?

Based on your history of having protected sexual intercourse, you shouldn't worry because there is no risk to get HIV infection.

According your symptoms I think that this is just a viral situation.

You should know that a negative HIV test 3 months after exposure is very accurate and conclusive. You are free of HIV. In your case, an HIV test was not necessary.
