Brief Answer:
Proven to increase bloodflow.. thats all

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic.

I've actually tried Nootropics in the past. So I did alot of research on them. I've tried piracetam alone (which caused severe headaches after the attack dose), but finally i settled on a stack which included B6, Brahmi and Vinpocetine).

Here's the thing. I felt a difference. I had headaches at first. But after a while the headaches faded and I was more alert and i FELT that i was thinking better.

I tested myself for 3 months on and off the stack. I did memory tests on Brainage. I measured the quality of my sleep using an android app on my phone and I did a few other things. Nothing changed!!!! I felt better, but there was no measurable improvement in my cognitive faculties. It was a severe disappointment.

The journal literature about this is also pretty conclusive.. the drugs will increase blood flow to your brain and are good for people who have had strokes and such.. but they have no effect when used as 'supplements'

I really wish I had better things to say. I would say that your benefit from Nitrovit (which contains Vinpocetine and is in NO WAY all natural) will be marginal if there is any benefit at all. In my experience... making sure you get a good nights sleep is the best way to keep your brain healthy.

If you really want a suggestion for a nootropic... try caffeine... it measurably increases alertness and you can get everything you need in a cup of coffee. It has side effects though.. including shakiness, sweetness, frequent urination, high blood pressure.. etc etc. But at least its been studied for hundreds of years.. unlike all the ingredients in Nitrovit

I hope this helps. Feel free to follow-up
