Is Nose Bleeding, Cramps And Pain In Nose An Early Symptom Of Pregnancy ?

Question: hello doc, i have a question regarding pregnancy. my gf and i have sexual intercourse with condom, however to be cautious we take plan b one step in the next 4 hours. the date of sexual intercourse is on 25 april, and then she got heavy bleeding on may 9, may 10..
and it seems like it will still continue to the next day.. however she got nose bleed today on may 10. I am confuse that some article and people said that nose bleeding is an early symptoms of pregnancy, and some people have nosebleed when they are pregnant. additional details is, she is cramping, and she felt pain on nose

so my question is?
1) does she got the nosebleed means she is pregnant?
2) does the bleeding is not a period but implantation bleeding?
3) does the bleeding is cause by plan b and it is not a PERIOD?
4) if she does bleeding for more than 3 days, it means there is no chance of pregnancy?
5) how could you say if she is not pregnant, please explain

No, Nose bleeding does not mean that she is pregnant. It could be because of other reasons as well. Since you used a condom and plan-B within 4 hours, the chances of pregnancy are very less.

This bleeding which she is having is most probably due to the plan -B medicine. It does not seems to be implantation bleeding.

As I have already mentioned to you, the chances of pregnancy are very, very low. You can get serum beta HCG levels checked to rule out pregnancy.

Hello doc thank you for your answer, my gf bleeding heavily already for 3 days.. This is period or not?if this is bleeding by plan b?it means that this is not her period?and if she is bleeding could it means that she is not prgenant anymore?as the bleeding is look alike her period

Thanks for the reply.

First of all the chances of pregnancy are near to zero.

Given the fact that you had used a condom and plan B after the intercourse, these are considered better contraceptive practices available. A heavy bleed for more than three days does not determine a positive sign of pregnancy.

In the same way the bleed may not be her regular period but should better be considered an affect due to the use of Plan B.

If you are just anxious about pregnancy you may go for a test called Qualitative Serum HCG levels.

Hello doc, my gf have bleeding for 4 days now..and it really look likes her period..doc, i dont see any symptoms of pregnancy, but i just want to make sure that if this bleeding for 4 days means that there is no more possibility of she is pregnant?otherwise how do you said that this is bleeding by plan b and not her period?did you mean that this is her period but come faster 3 days than usual because of plan b? still I have heard that if a girl bleed by plan b, it means there is no more chance of being pregnant? and i have heard doctor said that bleeding by plan b is the pre pone menstruation itself? just tell me if there is still a chance of pregnancy after bleeding like this?

Hi,

You seem to be too much concerned about the probability of pregnancy.

As said in my earlier the chances of pregnancy are unlikely. The bleeding is because of irregularities that can happen with Plan B.

Do not have too many thoughts about this bleed and enjoy life as earlier. I suggest erasing these thoughts from your mind.

Hello doc, my gf have stopped the period after5days. However 1 week later she bleed again that is today, and the bleeding look heavy. I wonder what is this bleeding? As you have read before my gf took plan b on 25april, and she get heavy bleeding at 9may for 5 days and I think this is her period? However today at may 18 she bleed again. Why is this? Is this because of the plan b pill? Or is this bleeding while pregnant?
Is this earlier pregnancy? Is it possible that my gf pregnant after all the bleed?

Thanks for writing back to me.

This bleeding which she is having now (from may 18) is unexpected.

Before I can comment on why she is bleeding now, she needs the following:

1. Gynecological examination
2. USG Abdomen and Pelvis
3. Complete Blood Count - To estimate the amount of blood loss.

As she has been loosing a lot of blood, she needs a medical intervention immediately, which otherwise will put her in a real XXXXXXX situation.

So, I suggest you to take her to a gynecologist and get an opinion from him.

Hello doc, is it not possible for her to have gynecological examination. The bleeding only last one day, and it also bleed just once in that day. I read many articles about plan b, and there is many cause of irregular bleeding that can happen because of plan b, am I right? However I want to ask you if this is bleeding while pregnant?Decidual bleeding? Or I mistook her 5days bleeding as a period? Some say even though they are pregnant there are some vaginal bleeding? Can you tell me wether she is pregnant or not? For your info the 5days bleeding is at her expected day of period but two days earlier.. Just tell me wether she is pregnant or not? The bleeding that last one day it might be possible it is cause by plan b pill right? Due to change of the hormones.. As you said before the bleeding is irregularities that can happen by plan b? Why you said she is losing a lot of blood? She is just having her period? And bleeding once?

And also please tell me it is still possible to be pregnant after all the bleeding? Please answer this question.. This is the most important

yes one day bleed can be due to plan B. There is no possibility of pregnancy hence shall not be pregnancy related.

There cannot be good answers for every question you ask. Hence difficult to reply.
