Hello,
Your brother is suffering from nose bleeding with
high BP. Having
high blood pressure puts you at a high risk of developing life-threatening conditions like a
heart attack or
stroke. You are suggested to get your brother treated for high blood pressure. High blood pressure may not always be the cause of nose bleeding.
Factors like dry air, allergic reactions, foreign body in the nose, chemical irritants, injury, nasal polyp, picking the nose,
acute sinusitis, use of medicines like
aspirin, blood thinners or deviated
nasal septum may cause bleeding from the nose.
Your brother is suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT, to rule out / detect sinusitis, nasal polyp, foreign body in the nose, deviated nasal septum, injury to the internal area of the nose so that treatment can be started. He should use room humidifiers and stay adequately hydrated to prevent dryness of the nasal mucosa, he should not pick the nose. He should be careful if he is taking blood thinners or aspirin, as it can trigger nose bleeding.
To prevent nose bleeding he should not blow nose too hard, should avoid bending and lifting heavy weight. If the bleeding is rapid or the blood loss is large & you are developing breathing problem. You should visit ER, you need urgent nasal packing for nose bleed done and other medical support.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
