Is Pregnancy Possible After Recovering From An Ectopic Failed Pregnancy?
yes you can get normal pregnancy if all is normal..
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm ,
If you have had an ectopic pregnancy and was managed conservatively and your tube was saved with medical management, then you can definitely get pregnant with the other normal fallopian tube which has not been scarred with ectopic at all.
I would like to know if your fallopian tube which harboured the ectopic was removed or left in situ?
Secondly the chances of repeat ectopic is generally increased by 10 % in next pregnancy and again 30 % in next to next pregnancy, but that should not demoralise you as the chances of normal pregnancy through the other fallopian tube is still high .
You need to get certain causes of ectopic ruled out first like endometriosis , Pelvic inflammatory disease or even salpingitis due to tuberculosis. If detected then the treatment should be started first before contemplating the next pregnancy.
Try to give a break for next 2months which is normally required for the body to return back to pre-pregnancy levels.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
The fallopian tube harbouring the ectopic was removed.

onfirm the patency of the other tube
Detailed Answer:
In that case , you need to confirm the patency of the other tube with an HSG or hysterosalpingo-graphy and then shall try for conception. As a repeat ectopic can be detrimental and then not many a options may be left. Though chances are 10 per cent but you must wait for 2 months hence and then try for natural conception which is possible with one tube as well if that side ovarian function is normal.
