Is Pregnancy Possible Through Intercourse During Non-ovulation Period?

default
Posted on Tue, 20 Oct 2015
Question: I had an IUD (5yr plan Birth Control ) implanted for about 6 months, it was bothering me so I recently had it removed on the 24th Sept. My boyfriend and I were intimate on the same day, he ejaculated in me. I think I'm ovulating today the 28 Sept. My last day of my period was either on the 12th or the 13th of Sept. I am wondering if I will end up pregnant or not at all. Him and I talked about it, and we want to go through with this, so I didn't take the Plan B the next day.

Brief Answer:
Pregnancy chances are less

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your query.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about chances of pregnancy.

Following is my reply:

1) Since IUD was removed on 24th September, the chances of pregnancy are less. Because it would have scratched and damaged endometrium where baby is supposed to grow.

2) Hence i think chances of pregnancy in your situation are very less. There is no reason to worry about pregnancy.

I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.

Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya

Him and I were intimate after I had had my iud removed. I had it removed in the morning and between 2-4pm the did had been done and he ejaculated in me. How are my chances of ending up pregnant less??
Also I've been getting high body temperature and body ache. And been very crampy from time to time. I'm not yet on my period, so I'm guessing that I'm ovulating today. Does it still mean I won't end up pregnant?

Brief Answer:
Less chances of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As I said previously, you chances of pregnancy are less as he has ejaculated after IUD removal which will not be ideal time to get pregnant.

You wont get pregnant even if you are ovulating today. AVoid having sex for next few days.
