Brief Answer:
Diverticulitis can be one of the reasons.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
To recapitulate: Male/87 - urine entering colon - wants to know whether this is diverticulitis - do not have usual symptoms - taking high fiber -
Please give some additional information for me to assist you better:
How is it known/ felt/ diagnosed that urine is entering the colon?
Please post the reports of the investigations if already done.
Any Cysto-urethroscopy? Reports if done.
Are you getting bubbles in urine while passing the urine?

Yes, diverticulitis can be one of the reasons for such a fistula formation; others being Crohn's disease or any other specific granulomatous disease.
Certainly further evaluation and investigations would be necessary to get a confirmed diagnosis and to get an appropriate treatment as per the clinical evaluation and investigations.

Urine in colon. This is an assumption by me but I have to keep drying my bottom on a regular basis. There are no recent reports. There is no evidence of bubbles when I pass urine. There is no pain related to this condition. I also wear male pads in my underwear to limit the symptoms. Hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
Please give details and post actual photographs if possible.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
It seems that you have a problem of wetness in the anal region.

This can occur due to one of the following reasons:

-Dermatitis in the peri-anal area.
-Prolapsed piles or rectal prolapse.
-Lax anal sphincters allowing seepage.
-Maybe a fistula-in-ano.
-Overuse of laxatives.

Please give details about the problem(based on this descriptions) you are having and post clear and focused pictures as these help for on-the-spot diagnosis. You can simply upload/attach them at the reports section of this web page.

Regards
