Brief Answer:
Hello dear. You require a biopsy for definite diagnosis
Detailed Answer:
hello dear. As you have a high level of serum PSA, you require a biopsy(needle test for tissue). Also a MRI of the abdomen and pelvis area will be required.
Further test may be carried out depending upon the results.
You need not to worry as even if turn out to be cancer, it is a slow growing disease and patient usually survive long(upto 10 years or more) with proper treatment.
But first of all, diagnosis needs to be established.
Thanks and regards

But my free psa level is also elevated at 4.55. Do i still need biospy.
Brief Answer:
Hello dear. Yes it is mandatory
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again. It is mandatory to establish the diagnosis by a biopsy before proceeding to any treatment. Also in the rarest of circumstances you may not have a cancer(uncommon). So it is must. Also sometimes, very uncommonly, there are different types of cancer based on pathology of the prostate and their treatment is also different. So, again biopsy is must.
Hope that is clear.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Sorry. You require an MRI and a bone scan for staging.
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir. I thought you have done an MRI. But it is an USG report. Stage can only be determined after MRI and a bone scan. Please consult your surgeon for ordering these tests. Also as i said earlier, a biopsy will be required for ascertaining the diagnosis.
Please revert back with the reports.

hello sir. This report only gives a high suspicion of malignancy which needs to be confirmed by a biopsy. Together with a raised PSA, it is high probability of cancer.
Now you require an MRI, biopsy and a bone scan. Treatment will depend upon all these reports.

Does this report not give any idea. Because instead of 2 small hypoechoic areas. Rest is normal.
