Is Rapid Pulse Rate A Cause For Concern?

Exclusion/ treatment of basic cause & lifestyle changes would help.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for connecting through Health care magic.
I have read your query carefully & understand your concern
* Rapid pulse rate represents heart rate Mostly it similates heart pumping rate. It can be more than it.. which is due to extra systoles ( an extra heart beat apart from usual heart rhythm.
- .Normal heart rate ranges from 60- 80, when counted at rest. IT tends to increase with exertion. If your pulse rate is going towards 130/ minute while having physical/ psychological stress... & it is not producing any symptoms( dizziness, light headedness, palpitation) it need not be concerned about it , as your doctor's advise.
- BUT , considering your age / the multiple health problems you have- (RA/KIdney disease/ COPD, CLL).../ cardiologist ) prone to affect heart.I would suggest-
- A detailed health analysis considering the conditions by a physician, who ould get preliminary tests done & refer you to concerned expert rheumatologist/ hematologist/ Nephrologist & heart specialist for specialized advise...as pr need
* I specially indicate to Nephrologist ( Kidney specialist ) For your Kidney problem is likely to result in electrolyte imbalance.. which in turn results disturbance in electrical conduction controlling heart contraction.
This would find the basic cause , before any symptoms are produced.& specific treatment can prevent further problems in time.
* few changes in your day to day life like-
- Take needful rest/ positive attitude with help of mind concentration exercises/ Yoganidra for sleep management .
- Stop/ restrict smoking/ alcohol consumption/ coffee beverges
- Have good food according to dietitian's advise ( like iron rich food, restriction of salt )
- Avoid fever( exposure to infection )/ vigorous exercise
-Take blood pressure / other medicines advised regularly.
Thus it's better to exclude any health problem heading towards high pulse rate/ have needful lifestyle changes would help you in long run & prevent further sufferings.
I hope. the answer was both informative as well as useful to you. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks

It's a blood test for Serum Electrolytes
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the follow up query.. it has reached me in time.
I am happy to note that you are already taking personal care that will help in controlling/ preventing further progress of the problem. Good!
The balance of electrolytes is maintained by kidney.. & as you had chronic kidney disease with change in heart rate... it occurred me the need to consult a kidney specialist/ heart specialist.. who would order for serum Electrolytes A blood test ) which would indicate individual level of electrolytes in blood / their proportion.. this will throw light on cause of increased heart rate & the treatment would be by managing kidney function/ supplementing deficient electrolyte.
So you would know about your electrolyte balance by a blood test.. "The serum electrolytes" It helps in understanding cause of heart symptoms & monitoring treatment effects of kidney disease/ blood pressure
I think that answers your query. If you still have some query, I would be happy to help.
Thanks.
