Brief Answer:
Nothing is wrong. It is a part of normal development

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health Care Magic.

There are different types of vocalisations that a child emits. Unless it seems to be an irritable cry, it is s normal finding for this and you need not worry about it. It is normal for a child of this age to try to get the essence of each and everything by putting in the mouth to get its feel. It is normal too. So you need to keep harmful objects away from the child. Please do not worry. It is just a part of normal development.

Brief Answer:
No need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

There are other factors that raise suspicion for Down syndrome, not 'screaming all the time'. If a child with Down's syndrome screams, it is because he or she has other problems that are bothering them. I do not think that you need to worry about this.

Since the child is otherwise doing fine, stay relaxed.

i was just worried as she screams a lot most of the time

secondly she is having greeen stool from the last three months
can it be because i m giving her formula milk with iron?

Brief Answer:
Greenish stools can be normal for at infant.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

Greenish stools are not a cause of concern. It is due to rapid transit through the large intestines where the bile pigments do not get enough time to get converted to the yellow colour of stool. It is normal for an infant. Iron could have a role to play but it is less likely.

The nature of screaming is important. If it is a nagging sort of thing, it is just a behavioral nature. If it is irritable, it indicates that something is not right and needs to be sorted out. It could be due to abdominal colic or some other discomfort. The final thing is that the child is experimenting with vocalisations and emitting the sounds it can. In that case it is not a cause of concern.

Hope that helps.

One last question

Today I ve very bad stomach ache and gas as if I ve gastroenteritis
Also I ve nausea and I m breastfeeding my daughter
So what medicine I can take that should not harm my baby ?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Diptanshu Das (10 hours later)
Brief Answer:
No medicine needs to be taken.

Detailed Answer:
Sorry for not being able to write back earlier.

If you have gastroenteritis, all you have to do is to take ORS (Oral rehydration solution). No medicine needs to be taken. You have to do proper hand washing to prevent passing germs to your baby. Your baby would be better off without your taking any medicine. Germs would not pass through breast milk.
