Question: I donated blood yesterday can i continue with my sex life and what about alcohol i m 39
Brief Answer:
You can resume normal activities after voluntary blood donation...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You can resume normal activities after voluntary blood donation. This includes normal sexual life and alcohol consumption as long as alcohol is in moderation. I do not encourage my patients to drink in excess; binge drink or alcohol abuse as it leads to deleterious effects on liver, body and mind.
Hope this answered your question.

My sgot is 75 and sgpt is 58 how to lower this i consome alcohol thrice a week and what should i take in diet
My triglyceride is 220 how to bring it down
My triglyceride is 220 how to bring it down
Brief Answer:
Cut weight and alcohol + medications...
Detailed Answer:
SGOT and SGPT value of 75 and 58 respectively are not high enough to raise my concerns. It's most likely the alcohol consumption which has caused it. It would be worthwhile to get an ultrasound scan. This will allow us study liver structure and if it's affected by alcohol. It would also be beneficial to follow up with a local physician regularly.
Triglyceride of 220 is slightly above desirable number. I am not sure how much alcohol and what type of alcohol you drink. It may or may not play a role with triglyceride. I would also like to know your current height and weight.
Please provide these details during the follow up.
