Why then, did the pharmacist advise me not to let myself get dehydrated when I was getting a refill on Effexor? Does that mean that Effexor draws water from your skin and organs.......

I do not know why your pharmacist said to drink plenty of fluids. There is no reason to be concerned about dehydration with effexor. I think he just meant that you should drink plenty of fluids as a general health recommendation
