For present anxiety, I usually give -etizolam 0.25-0.5 mg to my patients . this is helpful in reducing the anxiety without giving sedation/ sleep. if there is sleeping issues at night - zolpidem 10 mg will be very helpful. You may take it for a week and then stop it. I it dosent cause any withdrawal. Try to meet people, and be busy in your work/ studies- this will help you in recovering fast and distract you from nagging thoughts. Take a session of brisk walk/ jogging , 20 min. twice a day. For once and all you have to get rid if these fearful thoughts and do it now. You donot have the illness and so unnessicesarily remaining fearful wont bring any good. I feel that you should take some thing like mirtazapine. This will take care of sleep, anxiety, appetite and nausea as well.
