Is Spotting During Pregnancy Normal?

Question: I have taken 3 pregnancy tests, all positive. I go tomorrow for a blood test. I began spotting 3 days ago and it has become heavier on and off. do I need to go to the hospital, or is this normal? I just stopped taking the depo shot, so I don't know if this is something normal.
Brief Answer:
Ultrasound needs to be done confirm healthy pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I appreciate your concerns.
When was your last menstrual period? Slight bleeding can occur as the embryo is getting attached to uterine wall and this is normal. Rarely it is mild to moderate bleeding for 1-2 days. If you still have heavy bleeding it is better to go to the hospital. Ultrasound needs to be done confirm healthy pregnancy and your doctor will prescribe progesterone to support pregnancy.
I hope I have answered to your satisfaction.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama

About a month and half ago, I believe. If the bleeding hasn't stopped by time I get off work, I believe I will go. I just read earlier that I shouldn't be cramping, though.
Brief Answer:
Not having cramps is a good sign.

Hi,
Welcome back.
Yes if the bleeding has not stopped, I suggest you go to the hospital. Not having cramps is a good sign. But it is important to confirm that pregnancy is healthy.
