Is Stomach Pain After Consuming Tomato Sauce Or Soda A Symptom Of Gastritis?

kindly read detailed answer below
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for posting query at HCM.
I've read your question thoroughly and understood your concern.
You did not mention the results when you retested for H.pylori after treatment? was the result negative afterwards ?
Secondly, gastritis and acid reflux are two separate diseases.
Acid reflux is usually experienced when " the lower esophageal sphincter ( connecting esophagus and stomach) fails to close" efficiently. many factor play a role in the functioning of sphincter and/or acid production in stomach.
Tomato sauce is rich in acid and soda is a carbonated drink.
Both of these are aggravating factors affecting the sphincter function ( and acid production) causing the symptoms you experience after ingesting them.
Therefore, you may avoid these factors as much as you can.
As it's said, "prevention is better than cure".
So try to prevent the aggravating factors.
Hope to answer your concern.
Further questions are most welcome.

When i went back the test results were negative for H Pylori. Could the antibiotics have caused this gastritis though? If so then how long can i expect to feel bad? I started feeling bad AFTER the treatment for H Pylori...
Causative agent for gastritis was H.pylori
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for getting back.
Gastritis was caused by H.pylori which has been eradicated completely as mentioned in retested report.
The symptoms of heartburn and pain maybe due to acid reflux.
You may continue PPI and avoid aggravating factors that maybe causing the acid reflux.
For bloating see the advice(s) below:
OTC Simethicone tablets and probiotics maybe used to combat bloating.
Chew food well and try not to talk/open mouth while chewing food as it causes more air to enters stomach and may lead to bloating.
Avoid food that lead to more gas production ( brussels sprouts, broccoli, onion, chewing gum and cabbage)
Avoid carbonated drinks
