Is Surgery Advisable For Deviated Septum?
"Worst EVER," doctor told me before we decided to get rhinoplasty.
"I ain't God. I can't guarantee you complete recovery, it is that bad. Will you accept 50% better?"
Before I could not go into the woods without feeling really woozy. Pressure behind my eye I mistook for nerve headaches behind right eye.
Only now, although the wooziness is gone, the right ear still gets congested and won't drain. Clicks and pops still. I'd say I am only 35% better.
2 Videos of me, post-op

I think the deviated septum was the indirect result of hitting myself in the JAW because I am starting to look 30, and I curse. I messed up and hit myself again, and it is worse, hope TO GOD I did not fuck it up again.
IS THERE ANY PROCEDURE that can 100% cure me?
Because now, as I write this, anytime the girl over there bangs metal it makes me feel sudden wooziness. Congestion like hell in right ear. Although it still is not AS BAD as it was before the op. Enough to contribute to my desire to kill myself. (Dr. Naveem on this site and I HAD thought this was stroke related 2 years ago)
On the side, do I, the talking-me in this video, still look boyish and young, or ungodly MANLY, not boyish?

Eustachian tube dysfunction
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic and thanks for putting up the query
As per your complaints,it seems to me that you have eustachian tube blockage..so the pressure behind the ear drum doesn't equalize and it causes heaviness or congestion.. Your problem is a bit relieved after a septal surgery also points towards this..
Eustachian tube blockage can be due to nasal obstruction or can be due to tubal dysfunction..if it is not completely cured with septoplasty aline, a grommet insertion into the drum is sometimes required..
My suggestion to you is to get a fresh CT PNS done and an impedence audiometry done..send me the reports..this will help me to suggest you better
for now you take a decongestant tablet and a nasal decongestant drops..
Steam inhalation and also chewing a gum for a while helps the tube open up and normalizes the pressure
any further questions are always welcome
wishing you a speedy recovery
thanks and regards
Before my rhinoplasty it'd affect my right-eye vision, make right eye look "weepy", as psychiatrist called it. Pressure in right ear causing me feel rotten, with quick spells of wooziness. Clicks and pops not as frequent.
After Saturday unable to throw up, violently trying, saw stars actually as I heaved, since then the eustachian congestion seems worse. It had been healing, I think.
What is the easiet way to ask my doctor to cure this, if indeed it CAN be cured?

Hi
thanks for the follow up query
eustachian tube blockage can be dealt with medicines but if it seems that it is not helping mich, only solution is to go for myringotomy with grommet insertion or tympanostomy tube insertion.
This can be done under local anaesthesia only..not much costly either..you should consult an ENT specialist for this, also get impedance audiometry done
Contact me for any assistance..

Ringing in the ears
Detailed Answer:
Hi
thanks for the follow up query
Ringing in the ears or tinnitus can be due to multiple reasons..like wax or eustachian tube blockage or sound trauma..in your case it seems to be eustachian tube blockage..it will improve with time as the blockage disappears..
Please tell me how much ringing is there..like only while u sleep or throughout..one ear or both..any hearing loss?
Please start your treatment for eustachian tube blockage as advised?
Also get the audiometry done?
Take care
Thanks
My eustachian tube congestion is WORSE after... I wake up feeling okay, but the ET
Can't sing or rap ithout the blockage becoming more pronounced. blockage gradually onsets. Improves as I go about my activities later that afternoon.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
as your ringing comes and goes, it means u don't have any severe nerve loss.
My advise is please get an audiometry done and also if eustachian tube blockage is so much, visit an ENT specialist and ask for grommet insertion or tympanotomy..this will solve both your problems.
Secondly from audiometry you can cone to know how much hearing loss is there, and according to that what nneds to be done for tinnitus can be done..
Any further queries are always welcome
thanks and regards
