Question: I have a fracture through an enchondroma in my 5th metatarsal. My dr is recommending surgery and non weight bearing for ten weeks. Is there anyway to avoid this as I have two small children and non weight bearing is impossible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

This is kind of a benign cartolage tumor which is not dangerous but if it is affecting your everyday work then it will have to be surgically removed.

If you want to cure it with medication or any other method that is not possible you can either live with it or get rid of it and there is only one way to do it, that is surgery.

I do inderstand being a mother you gotta take care of kids but if this is affecting your life then you have to take the decision and get it done 3 months are tough to take rest but you would learn ways, plus you can ask some family member or relative to help you in this but remval can only be done through surgery

I hope this answered your question, a
