I believe all surgical procedures have loss of sensory and motor functions of the face.which one has1.immediate relief. 2.most long lasting relief. 3.what is the approximate cost of this at your hospital. 4.have I to be hospitalized and for how many days?
Brief Answer:
Details are provided below.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
I agree with you that there is a risk of numbness of face after a surgical procedure, however, loss of motor function does not occur.
There are two procedures generally done to treat trigeminal neuralgia.
1. Radio-frequency ablation- In this, 80% of people get relief from pain, which is immediate relief. One day stay is needed and approximate cost is twenty five thousands rupees only.
2. Microvascular decompression (MVD)- 95% people get relief from pain, which is immediate. 5 days stay is needed and approximate cost is two lakhs rupees only.
Relief is long lasting in both procedures.

Radio frequency ablation I think will be fine.in case of recurrence, can it be repeated after some years?
Brief Answer:
Generally, it is not repeated.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
If radio-frequency ablation fails, it is generally not repeated. This is because there is a chance of failure, even after it is repeated.
