Is Swelling With No Bruising Post Forehead Injury A Cause For Concern?
Question: I hit my forehead hard on the corner of a wire shelf yesterday. I applied ice and the area is very sensitive to the touch but not bruised. it is slightly swollen. I have no headache or any other symptoms. Is there any reason to call or see my Doctor?
Brief Answer:
No need to see a doctor.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
If you have not lost consciousness, no headache, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dizziness, weakness, sleepiness, no need to see a doctor. Swelling is a normal thing. Lack of bruise and lack of mentioned symptoms allows to assume that the injury was only superficial.
Try to rest. If any of mentioned symptoms will appear, consult a doctor.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
No need to see a doctor.
