Question: I have L4 L5 disc prolapse. Can I continue to swim regularly. I am learning swimming for the past 30 days and now only I have started swimming independently and that too only free style stroke. Breast stroke and back stroke I am yet to start
Brief Answer:
Swimming is good for back pain and disc prolapse.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Swimming is a good exercise for strengthening of back muscles. It helps in relieving the back pain. You can continue with swimming and start with other strokes also as per your convenience. It will rather retard the further progression of disc prolapse.
I hope this answers your query.
