Is The HIV 4th Generation Test Conclusive At 5 Weeks Post Exposure?
Question: Question on HIV
I was fingered in the anus for a very brief period (less than 5 seconds), and received oral sex (on penis).
Had HIV test (4th gen) after 5 weeks, which was negative.
Should i be worried about my HIV status, since i remain anxious after the test? I have experienced diarrhoea and swollen neck (physician examined it and said it is likely a swollen muscle). Assuming that it is a swollen lymph node, does that change your answer? Can stress result in those symptoms instead?
Thank you in advance.

Brief Answer:
Absolutely no need to worry at all.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Welcome to HCM.
You had done anal fingering and received oral sex and 4th gen HIV test is negative after 5 weeks then nothing is there to be worried about and get feared or anxious so just calm down and alleviate anxiety.
If the swollen neck may be lymphnode then also no risk of HIV and the answer would remain same for sure that you are absolutely safe and free from it. Be relaxed and forget about the incidence.
Do meditation and yoga for mental relaxation. You can consider counselling services if needed. Take healthy and nutritious diet, do regular exercise. For any further query feel free to ask me any time.
Thank You
