Question: Hi, I have three queries as mentioned below:
1.My Hb1C is 5.7 , Avg blood sugar is 155 , fasting is 140 , SGOT is 48 IU/L and SGPT 54 IU/L , Calastrol level is 195 .

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back to HCM. The answers to your questions are
1. Your HbA1C is normal now, but fasting sugar is still above target. So it is better to continue with same dose of metformin
2. Your diabetes is type 2, which can be treated with oral medications and insulin. In type 1 - which is seen commonly in children, you are totally insulin dependent.
3. Sweets once a week is ok. Consume it in moderate amounts and have your blood sugars checked if in doubt.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help you
