Brief Answer:
Future risk of Hypothyroidism

Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Thyroid peroxidase antibody is a marker of autoimmunity. The elevated antibodies means that you have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I your T3 and T4 are normal, please do not worry much. However, there is a chance of you developing Hypothyroidism in the future.

I have and am hypo. My thyroiditis is a bother because it causes me trouble to swallow, my hoarse voice is problematic. My weight gain with very low appetite is not sitting well with me either. Is there a way to get this under control?

Brief Answer:
Kep TSH in normal range

Detailed Answer:
Okay, thyroiditis can go on for a while in hashimoto's disease. There can be neck discomfort at times. It is better to get an ultrasound done to look for thyroid nodules.
Apart from taking optimum dose of Levothyroxine to keep the TSH around 2.5 to 3, there are no other treatment available . However, in viral thyroiditis, sometimes, steroids are helpful for short duration for releief of pain and swelling in neck.

I do have a 9mm nodule, they won't biopsy again until it's 10. The nodule has been there for 4 years now.

Brief Answer:
1 m cut off

Detailed Answer:
Good day,

The cut off nodule size for FNA ( fine needle biopsy) is 1 cm or 0.5 cm with suspiious features. So a 9 mm nodule doesnt need to be biopsied, unless it has some suspicious features or till it reach 1 cm size
