Brief Answer:
in more serious prostate disease

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Prostate disease can sometimes be associated with back pain but this is most commonly in men with serious disease of the prostate eg cancer where there has been spread to the vertebra
This is one of the most common places of initial spread.

In terms of persons with benign ( non cancerous) enlargement of the prostate, it is not that common a symptom.
This means that there is likely to be another cause of your back pain.

You may want to consider imaging of the spine to see if this would help determine the cause.
X rays are normally the first imaging to be requested.

Arthritis of the back is a common reason for pain

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
