Is There Any Interaction Between Nyquil And Acetaminophen?

Question: Hi- I am a 22 year old female (23 in 2 weeks). I had a root canal procedure done 16 hours ago, I am also suffering from a moderate cold (no cough, just congestion, sore throat and fatigue).
I had not tooth/mouth pain after I left the dentist today, however, my cold symptoms were bothersome. I took nyquil around 5 hours ago and went to sleep 2 hours later. I woke up 30 minutes ago with a lot of pain around the molar where I had the root canal. The dentist prescribed me Acetaminophen-cod #3 to take as needed for the pain. But I am now stressing that it might interact with the Nyquil.
I am confused, in pain and don't know what to do. Please help!
Brief Answer:
You can start with Acetaminophen
Detailed Answer:
Hello, XXXXX
Thank you for consulting with Healthcaremagic.
This is Dr. Dipti Singh here to answer your query.
As you are mentioning that you have taken Nyquil around 5 hours ago, then you can go for Acetaminophen for pain, as Nyquil itself contains acetaminophen and it is already 5 hours, so no interaction will take place.
Better to go for medication as it will relieve the pain.
Hope it will help you
