Is There Anything That Can Be Done For Cough, High Pulse Rate And Cold While Getting Treated For Tachycardia?

Cough following flu is common...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query. I'll try my best to help you with this problem.
Cough following an attack of flu or upper respiratory is very common, the reason being either a post nasal drip or inflammation of the larynx.
Do not worry! With appropriate measures it will clear off. My suggestions to you are:
1. Drink plenty of warm water - this reduces the congestion in mucosa of the nose, throat and larynx and thus the cough.
2. Do steam inhalation 3-4 times a day, for at least 2 minutes. Warm air reduces the nasal congestion and the secretions.
3. Use saline nasal spray as frequently as possible.
4. If the cough is associated with phlegm, try taking ambroxol or bromhexine. If it's a dry cough do not take any cough syrup.
5. Avoid talking as much as possible.
6. Avoid chilled food and beverages/coffee/fizzy drinks/alcohol/ smoking if any.
Hope with the above measures you will be alright. Revert back to me if you have any further queries.
Regards
