Is Thick Hymen More Prone To Infections?

Question: Hello,I am a 27 yo virgin,my question is I have been told during one gynecological visit that I have a very thick hymen, does that mean micro perforate?and if it is so thick ,could that by any means make me prone to infection?does that trap any menstrual cycle,my menstrual cycle is regular.
Brief Answer:
no risk of infection
Detailed Answer:
Dear member,
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
The menstrual bleeding flows even if the vaginal orifice is small.
The rigid hymen also doesn't cause any infection.
The only problem you may have is difficulty during intercourse in future as if the hymen is rigid then it will be painful.
If such a problem occurs in future then you may consider hymenectomy where the rigid hymen is removed.
Please write back if you have any questions.
