Is Travelling Advisable For A 13 Week Old Baby After Recovering From Skull Fracture?

Question: Hi my baby suffered a linear skull fracture to the right parietal bone at 3 days old . A CT scane showed she had a subdural bleed and an overlying haematoma with up to 6mm intercranial collection. She is now 12 weeks old and has shown no signs of any damage and has been seen by 4 paediatricians who all agree she is fine but have done no further scans. We have a trip planned for when she is 13 weeks old will she be ok to fly? Is it dangerous at all?

Brief Answer:
No

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
There is no any danger since this is more than enough period for complete resolution of hematoma. Usually we recommend rest and observation for 4-6 weeks for such small intracranial hematomas. So flying will not have bad effects as well as other types of travel. Wish you good health. Regards
