Is Treatment With Testim Required For Testerone Level Of 338 Ng\dl?
Question: I have been treated for lor t for a couple of years now. i am 50 and my last test came up with 338 ng\dl and am curious as to what it should be after being treated with 1% testim for that period of time. i have other symptoms that show up when i read about hypogonadism (small penis, testicles dont hang, large breasts and even some psychological issues such as cyclic feelings of gender identity). Can you point me at resources so i can learn the facts so i can stop wondering if i have any of the conditions i read about that seem to fit? i can't have all of these conditions at the same time so i really just want to know what caused the low even after 2 years of treatment and the other things mentioned.
also, i am married and have 2 children so i must have had ok sperm count in my 20s. my wife is loving, supportive and willing to go through me getting help, but we both agree that i have medical issues (high blood pressure, diabites, low t) but need professional help with my gender and sexual issues and treat that as just as important as the other issues that are more concrete
When initially diagnosed with low t i believe the ng\dl level was around 150, but as i said it is at 338 now after taking testim 1% for about 2 years. i have not discussed the gender and sex issues with my primary physician because i have a very hard time discussing it with most people. i am much more at ease with females to talk about gender and sex, but a male is ok if its not in person. i'd prefer a female in any case, but am not sure how that works.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Your testosterone levels are normal and need no treatment with Testim. Also, you have children which makes very evident that there is no organic problem pertaining to your gender or hormonal status.
You have a psychological problem. Dr XXXXXXX is right in diagnosing you as a Trasnvestite, for you do need Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to over come the same. There would be no need for any medication or special investigation. You need frequent sessions of counselling and specialized therapy compelling behavioral change.
I shall suggest you a therapist, please provide details about your locality so that I find one near to you.
Wish you good health.
