Question: My wife has breast cancer that has spread to her backbone. She is presently receiving medical care at Perelman Medical Center at XXXXXXX University. She is taking Faslodex injections once per month. I have read that cancer patients should try to keep their urine Ph in the 7 to 7.5 range. Her Ph is persistently about 6.25 to 6.5 range. Should we try to increase her Ph level. Thank you for your help XXXXXXX XXXX
Brief Answer:
No this is not true
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
I understand your concerns. But urine pH is not related to cancer spread. There is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that maintaining high urine pH improves cancer control.
So please don't worry about urine pH.
Hope this helps.
