3.my country is Thailand where rabies prevail. before the exposure, the dog was admitted in the hospital for 3 weeks as he's got Tracheal collapse (Pomeranian). that's why its trigger my anxiety if he's contracted rabies from there. 4.is rabies as Verorab or Rabipur safe. wont it cause human rabies if get shots?
thaks u
since the dog has been adequately vaccinated, there is no need of vaccine
Detailed Answer:
Hi welcome to HCM,
since the dog has been adequately vaccinated, there is no need of rabies vaccination.
And it could not have contacted rabies in the hospital since it was adequately vaccinated--yes he is safe.
Incubation period in humans varies from 9 days to several years.
In dogs--3-8 weeks
Rabipur or Verorab can occasionally cause severe side effects like irregular heartbeat, vision changes, dizziness and drowsiness, loss of feeling in the extremities, swelling of the face or tongue, difficulty breathing, paralysis, confusion, hallucinations and sensitivity to light. These are rare but why take a chance when the vaccine is not required.
If you are still anxious you can get the antibody level tested in the dog. This will allay your fears.
Regards

i'll get the dog rabies antibody titer test too even its very expensive here. Thx u!!
absolutely right --even after 2 months vaccine is definitely of use
Detailed Answer:
Hi, absolutely right --even after 2 months vaccine is definitely of use although weak antibodies may have developed.
Regarding vaccination I think she does not require it. You can wait for the dog's antibody levels. However if you are really very anxious go ahead and give it to her.
But you can give her Rabies immunoglobulin which will boost her immunity.
Regards and all the best.
