Hi,
Good to hear from you again.
From the description it seems that what you are having is fungal infection of the area.
Fungal infection lasts for months when left untreated.
There is nothing to worry about, just visit your doctor will give local anti fungal creams and tablets as per need.
At times when there is super added infection pus may be formed. A course of antibiotic will take care of this.
In general:
Wear loose fitting clothing made of cotton or synthetic materials designed to wick moisture away from the surface.
Avoid sharing clothing and towels or washcloths.
Allow the groin to dry completely after showering before covering with clothes.
Antifungal powders or sprays may be used once a day to prevent infection.
This will prevent recurrent infection and help with this one.
I hope this helps and clarify your concern.
Please write again if you have something more to ask.
In case you do not have further query, please accept the answer.
Wishing you good health.
