Detailed Answer:
As you have mentioned regarding two sets of problems
1. multiple joint pains
2.Feeling of weakness and tiredness besides exhaustion with normal activity
As regards the feeling of weakness and tiredness besides exhaustion with normal activity may arise due to hormonal imbalance specially
thyroid disease (commonest cause)
Besides the same can also exacerbate the pain (multiple joint pains)as mentioned with coexisting multiple joint pains (which in your case may be due to
Rheumatoid arthritis and/or early degenerative arthropathy.
For establishing the diagnosis some radiological and laboratory tests are essential eg:
1. Assessment of
Thyroid function tests (including Sr T3/T4 and TSH) besides ESR and anti peroxidase antibody (Anti TPO antibody). Of course if you have never done the blood sugar test please also rule out
Diabetes Mellitus (FBS and PP blood sugar to be done)
As regard joint pain please get examined by your family physician who depending on the examination finding can order set of tests eg.
1.Complete blood count
2.Test for RF(
rheumatoid factor)
3.CRP
3.ANA and CCP.
4.ESR and Urin analysis etc
Besides these also you need to undergo some tests as follows:
1.XRY of Knee, and Neck
2.MRI of SPINE/ and Neck.
All these test results besides examination by your family physician will give hints as to what is the
cause of these symptoms and further remedial measures can be suggested once the diagnosis is known.
In the mean while the lab test results are awaited you may take mild analgesics eg Tab
Paracetamol or Brufen (400 mg) to be taken thrice daily after food (please check regarding possibility of
hyperacidity by your physician. If you have hyper acidity, I would add antacid such as Tab Ranitidin (150 mg bd) or Tab Omeprazole.
Once the test results are available further specific treatment can be advised.
