Question: I had my left kidney removed due to a PUJ obsrtuction, do i need a special diet and refrain from drinking alcohol?

Hello,

Thanks for the query.

I will be in a better position to advice you if you could attach or type down the values of the following blood reports (latest)

1. Seru creatinine
2. Liver function test (particularly Serum albumin)
3. Complete blood count (in particular Hemoglobin)

The above are the variables which will decide on your diet plan

Ideally you should have the following diet:

1. Protein restricted
2. Low salt
3. Water/fluids restricted to 1 litre per day
4. Refrain from smoking
5. Avoid drinking more than twice a week not more than 40 grams of alcohol each time
