Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing to us.
Firstly congratulations for your wedding! To have a perfect wedding glow, you may consider these treatment options
1) you may take Chemical peels( Glycolic acid, lactic acid, Kojic acid or salicylic acid etc). The type and strength of peeling agent depends upon skin type and skin concern ie whether there is acne, tanning, uneven skin tone or any pigmentation etc. Peels can be taken weekly or fortnightly depending on the concentration or strength of peel used
2) skin polishing or microdermabrasion. This procedure removes superficial skin layer giving an even skin tone, reduces marks, scars and adds to a healthy glow
3) mesotherapy where a cocktail of vitamins and complexion enhancing medicines can be injected directly in skin to give a healthy glow

All these are dermatologist guided procedures and can be done together to give better results. I would advise you to consult a dermatologist nearby so that your skin can be analysed and a proper personalised treatment plan can be suggested.

Apart from these, at home you may begin with these
Use a mild Glycolic acid based face wash
Use sunscreen daily even if indoors
Use depiwhite cream twice in a day, its a mild pigmentation reducer and will even out skin tone. For added benefit use depiwhite mask twice in a week
Take lots of fruits, salads , nuts and adequate amount of water in diet
Whatever facial you plan to take, try it beforehand to see if it suits you well.

Hope that helps. Should there be any other query, feel free to write back.
Take care.

Thank you Dr. Kalpana for the above suggestion.
I do not have pigmentation, I have a very few pimples and a few pimple scars, black and white heads on the face and have a sensitive skin. So just want to be double sure if I can go for peels as I just read about the above suggested peels online but it seems to be quite risky and just want to know how many sessions should i take kindly advice. I have taken a dermatologist appointment for tommorow.

All I need is a glowing and fair skin with out any scars on my face by my wedding in the month of may.

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back.
In your case I would suggest
You can always take chemical peels( Glycolic acid or salicylic acid) to reduce acne, comedones, marks and very superficial scars. Peels are safe to take if done by a dermatologist. These are always done after sensitivity testing of the area and hence you need not worry as these are not at all risky and would not do any harm to your skin. In your case as you have two months you cannot go beyond 4 to 6 sessions depending upon the strength of peel used. Also few sessions of skin polishing would help once acne has subsided completely to reduce scars of acne and post acne marks if any. Apart from that to reduce acne
1) use of mild face wash like Ahaglow or cetaphil oily skin cleanser
2) get your comedones( blackheads and whiteheads) extracted as these are precursors of pimples. You can remove them at home by steaming your face and then use a comedone extracter to press them lightly so that they can be expressed out. After removing these clean the area and do icing to reduce inflammation if any and then apply anti acne cream( clindamycin or adapalene). Difficult to remove comedones can be extracted by taking your dermatologist help.
3) apply clindamycin gel twice daily over acne lesions and adapalene gel in night
4) you may apply depiwhite cream over acne marks and depiwhite mask twice in a week to enhance complexion as this mask contains mild peeling agents.

As you have an appointment with your doctor tomorrow, discuss all the options and let him/ her know about your wedding date so that treatment can be planned accordingly.
The idea is to treat acne first and then tackle with marks and scars to give you a fair healthy skin. Also as you have acne prone skin, kindly plan your facials accordingly as with facials acne flare ups may occur.

Hope that helps.
Take care

thank you, I had been to Dermatologist today she suggested me to go for Glycolic acid peels 10 days once, so I will have around 5-6 sessions by my wedding. The doctor said this would take care of all my pimples and a few pimple scars, black and white heads.
In addition, I have been asked to use Emolene moisturizer daily twice and Avene's
TriAcneal 2days once.
Please advice if this would be sufficient, if yes kindly close the query.

Thanks a lot and take care:)

Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back.
You can follow your dermatologist's prescription as it has been prescribed after analysing your skin.
Glycolic acid peels can be done ten days apart
Emolene has been prescribed as dryness may occur after peeling sessions
Avene triacneal contains retinaldehyde and Glycolic acid - both are effective in treating acne

Just to add few important suggestions that should be followed with peels
1) avoid sun exposure as much as possible
2) use a good medicated sunscreen daily as with peels skin's sensitivity to sun increases for few days after peel
3) avoid threading and waxing sessions over face prior to peels as micro injuries occur with these sessions and peeling at these areas may cause increased burning session or redness.
4) I would advise that prior to peels you get your comedones extracted as it will give better results.
5) make it a point to get your last peeling session done atleast a week prior to your wedding

Hope that clears all your doubt.
Wish you all the best. Take care.
PS should there be no query, you may close the discussion.
