I can understand your concern for the hair fall. Although there are many products for hair growth which include Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) inhibitors like Propecia and Avodart and hair regrowth promoters like Rogaine (minoxidil), but Rogaine (topical minoxidil) and Propecia (finasteride) are the only drugs approved by the FDA to treat pattern baldness (hair loss as a result of hereditary causes). You can discuss about these drugs with your trichologist as they are not without side effects.

Provillus is a herbal supplement for hair growth and is with side effects. One of the ingredients in Provillus is Siberian Ginseng, and that can have serious consequences for some users. It can lower blood sugar levels, cause dizziness, disorientation, increase heart rate, and lead to loss of muscle control. Anxiety, breast pain, and headache are all quite common with this ingredient. Secondly, zinc sulphate can cause nausea; difficulty breathing and magnesium should not be taken if you have a kidney disease.

Permanent hair loss can also be treated by hair replacement procedures, such as hair transplantation methods (like micro-grafting, slit grafting, punch grafting) and by scalp reduction. These are the permanent methods of hair regrowth and can be opted for.

It is true that “takanal” has been proposed by some clinics to help in hair growth. But FDA has approved only two drugs: Finasteride and Minoxidil for the hair growth. Currently, all other so called hair growth products are in the developing stage and nothing can be said about them.

Laser treatment uses low-level laser therapy (LLLT) and claims to stimulate hair growth through "photo-biostimulation" of the hair follicles; but again there is no proof for its effectiveness and harmful effects as yet.

If the products that you are currently using are not helping you, then I would suggest you to consult a trichologist and try the two drugs: Rogaine or Minoxidil or go in for hair replacement procedures. This would have been my advice if you were to be my patient.
