Low Body Weight, Had Cold And No Sound Sleep
Thanks for posting your query.
I would like to know the following details in order to be able to help you in a better way.
1. Baby's birth weight and present weight, any sudden weight loss in between.
2. Any illnesses or problems during newborn period.
3. Duration of cold, description of symptoms whether cough, running nose or wheeze, etc.
4. Any sleep problems since infancy.
If feasible, it is always better to consult your pediatrician for physical examination of baby to rule out any complications and to confirm the diagnosis and start appropriate treatment.
Till then, please keep your baby well hydrated and well fed. You can give her nasal saline drops, and steam inhalations thrice daily to relieve cold.
Awaiting your response to answer your query in detail.

Thanks for the follow up query.
Her weight according to age is normal but it is slightly less according to birth weight.Usually the weight triples the birth weight at one year of age.But if baby is very active, then sometimes weight may be less which might be the case in your child .
For sleep problem the most important thing is to make a fixed schedule of one or two naps in daytime plus ten hours continuous sleep at nighttime. Some babies are normally very sensitive to sound so there is no option but to minimise the ambient noise.
For diet your baby should receive a mixture of solids, breast milk or formula or cows milk.
There should be a schedule for meals like three major meals, breakfast, lunch, dinner and two minor snack times of fruit, milk, juice etc.Limit cows milk intake to around 400 ml in a day if she takes more milk, she might eat less.
She can be given all vegetables , rice, wheat sojee or chappati, ragi or nachnee pudding or biscuits and if nonveg food allowed then chicken, eggs and fish like pomfret.
You can add few drops of ghee or butter to her food to enhance calories and taste.
For a more detailed food plan you can visit a site , WWW.WWWW.WW which has different recepies and schedules mentioned for each age.
Please remember that natural homemade food is always better than tonics or packed foodstuffs.
Hope I have answered your query.
