Question: Dear Sir,
My sister is 29 years old.She is having low hemoglobin of 7.3 and a high E.S.R of 11,300.Even she is getting fever almost everyday with some signs of pain in hand.We consulted a doctor earlier who have suggested us to go for U.S.G.she has undergone the test, except for having a small cyst in the right ovary no other abnormalities were seen. After that the doctor has prescribed Orofer Xt.Previously she always been a very choosy girl about foods. So her diet is also not so proper. What is your opinion and what we should do further.

Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Her hemoglobbin is fairly low which may be poor due to longterm iron deficiency or may have developed due to poor health now.
A high ESR and TLC- 0000 with fever and poor health indicates to some infection some where.
How did the pain in hand start, is there any redness and swelling there?
It also can be a source of sepsis and fever.
Iron in form of Orofer is okay but would not help till cause of fever is settled and if infection is detected it has to be cured with antibiotics.
Get examined the hand, get it's Xray or ultrasound if physician advises after examination.
I hope the advise would be helpful for you.
