Question: hi my wife is 41 years old she has a large lump in her breast and a smaller one between her breast and her arm pit she has no thyroid or next to none cause it was removed twice and she is on medication for it. her armpit is sore she hasnt taken her thyroid medication for a while but her levels r not that far off they r 9 if that makes any senes that part might be wrong. im just going by memory of what she told me .first susision is breat cancer BUTcan her problem have anything to do with her thyriod condition she is going to see a cancer specia;list this week

Thanks for the query.
Firstly,the breast lump hasnt got a direct connection with the thyroid.She needs to take medication for that.The normal TSH level is between 2.5-4.5.If it more that that then she needs to be on medication.The breast lump needs to be investigated further.An FNAC and mammography are essential.Surgery depends on the biopsy report.To answer your question,the thyroid and the breast lump arent related.So seeing a specialist is the best possible option now.
