MRI Done. Explanation In Layman Terms?
Question: Can someone please translate these MRI results in layman terms.
1. L5-S1 apophyseal based retrolisthesis of L5 over S1, small subligamentous protrusion with an annular rent abutting bilateral L5 nerve roots within the root foramen.
2. L4-L5 bilobed protrusion abutting bilateral L4 nerve roots within the root foramen.
3. Multilevel spondylosis.
Any help to achieve some type of understanding would be great. Im sick of taking pain medication and would like to know what type of doctor can help me understand my options

L5 S1 retrolisthesis means backward migration of L5 vertebra over S1. Annular tear means break in the disc covering and it is usually painful. Disc bulge is compromising the nerve root space which causes the leg pain. Similarly L4-5 disc bulge causing pressure on the L4 nerves which leads to pain in thighs.
Spondylosis means age related changes in the spine.
If possible upload the images to help you more. Thanks.
