Hello,
Well, the problems you are facing is not that bad to go in future. So be relaxed as we can help you with it.
I don't know if you have ever tried
physiotherapy. Lookout for a good physio who is competitive and who is confident of helping you out. As the pain is radiating on either sides we need to rule out what are the myotomes and dermatomes involved.
Using a
cervical collar is a must for now. Buy one soft cervical collar. Use it for some time as this will help stabilize the spine in neutral position for long hours of the day. Only time to remove is in the night.
Within a week your symptoms should reduce. Try using hot water fermentation along with this. So that the muscles relax some more.
The physiotherapist will be able to help you with
TENS therapy and therapeutic
ultrasound therapy. One will help you to reduce pain and one will help with inflammation.
After 2 weeks once pain comes down exercise should begin. As it plays an important role in any
spondylitis. Muscles supports the
skeletal system. So if muscles are weak the skeletal system will not be stable and lead to additional pain and aches due to
nerve compression in the spinal column.
You should have less and reduced pain in 4 weeks of time whereby you can stop using the cervical soft collar.
If any more details you want to know what I haven't answered please feel free to contact me.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
