Question: My mri report has given the following finding imaging is suggestive of platybasia,atlanto occipital assimilation congenital fusion of c2 c3 with atlanto axial instaability and severly impringed cerebal medulla against tip of posterior arch of assimilated atlas and foramen menro long segment mylopathic changes extending from cervico medullaryjunction to upper c5 vertebrapredominantly dorsal
i have been advised surgery for removal of compression
what would be the prognosis if i udergo this surgery

You have a congenital problem in the neck bones leading to compression of the spinal cord.
It is best to undergo surgery to relieve the compression; as with time the damage to the spinal cord would increase and your condition could worsen.
The prognosis depends on the duration of symptoms and type of symptoms that you have (you have not mentioned about your symptoms).
The surgery would definitely help in improving your condition and would prevent progression of spinal cord damage.
