Noticed Hard Painless Lump Under The Skin On The Thigh. Worrisome

Question: I have a fairly hard painless lump under the skin on the upper middle of my right thigh. No other symptoms. Just noticed it a couple of days ago.
Hi ,
Thanks for writing in.The lump you are describing can be lipoma ,sebaceous cyst, lymph node etc.
Also I would like to know,
Is the overlying skin normal?
Does it move freely under the skin?
Any black coloured opening over the swelling?
Is there other similar lesion on the body?
Answer the above questions and we can continue the discussion here.
I will be available for follow up questions.

Overlying skin is normal. It does not appear to move freely under the skin. No discoloration. No other lumps anywhere else.
Hi,
The condition appears condition canj be sebaceous cyst.
It is a common type of swelling. If it becomes large or painful it can be removed by small surgical process. You will need a board certified surgeon to go ahead with this.
It is not an emergency you can do it on appointment basis.
Hope this helps.
