Noticed Redness On Urethral Opening. Could This Be Due To Skin Irritation Or Infection?
Question: Hello, I noticed about 2 weeks ago my urethra opening went
A little red and the glans at the top of the opening had also gone red
Could this be due to skin irritation? Or infection? I am circumcised could
It simply be irritation every once in a whole? If so why hasn't it gone yet?
I also excessively dribble after urination could it be urine burn
That's irritating that area? It's really starting to worry me now as its never

Hi. Urethral opening is usually bit more red than glans, but if you notice any increased redness around it, it can be sign of infection/irritation. IF you have burning sensation while urinating, tingling or itching in this area, then it can be uroinfection. If you have discharge(pus) and have had sexual intercourse in last few weeks STD should be considered.
If you have only redness then it is simple irritation which can be caused by alleergies, underwear or soap/shampoo etc.
To check the first thing you need to do uroculture and urine analysis.
For the second one microbiological smear should be taken.
For the last one just try to find what is causing this irritation and avoid it.
