Noticed Swelling And Pain In Wrist While Working. How To Get Relief?
Thanks for posting your query.
Your X-ray report does not show any bony injury while the ultrasound scan is suggestive of tenosynovitis of extensor tendons.
The treatment options include,
1.) Analgesics.
2.) Immobilization.
3.) Physical Therapy.
4.) Surgery (In serious cases).
Your Treating Doctor will know better, which treatment option suits your condition. Usually a month of rest would be sufficient if you avoid repetitive hand and wrist movements like while playing a Piano.
Follow these lifestyle modifications,
1.) Give Complete rest to your Hand, for about a Month.
2.) Wear a splint or Brace after discussing it with your Doctor.
3.) Avoid repetitive wrist and hand movements.
4.) Perform regularly the exercises as explained by your Physical Therapist.
5.) Make a note of which movements aggravate the pain, and try avoiding them to the fullest.
6.) Stick to your treatment plan and go for regular follow up.
Get some anti inflammatory medicines prescribed from your orthopedician.
