What is the type of pain - Colicky or burning ?
What are does he complain of pain? In the bladder area, abdomen or any other specific area?
Is it associated with other symptoms like frequency of urine, nausea , fever ?
Has he had similar symptoms earlier?

Thank you for your reply,
He said the pain was not a burning one so I assume collicky
No abdominal pain, no fever.
He says it hasnt hurt before and this morning he didnt complain.
Please give me some more symptons I would need to see before making a doctrors appt. I am assuming a urinary infection is associated with a fever. But let me know if there is other symptoms I should be looking for, or if there is something other than an infection that could cause this pain.
Thank you for your help

Thanks for posting your followup query
If the pain is colicky there are probabilities it can be of intestinal origin also
You may look for frequency of stool , nausea , vomiting ,mucus in stool or tenesmus
Frequency of urine, Pus in urine, and/or blood in urine
It can be infection of urinary origin or intestinal origin depending on symptoms
Hope this helps
