Question: question--- preformed 5 seconds of oral sex on a woman awhile back only on her vulva-- is there any worry concerning hiv?

First and foremost, you need to know that sex with every person does not cause HIV (even in case of sex workers, she has to be infected before she can pass it on to you).

Even in case a person has sex with a infected person, the chances of contracting the infection would be in female-to-male transmission is 0.04% per act only.

If the secretions of vagina from an HIV infected female has touched the mucosa- oral mucosa in your case then there are very remote chances that the infection might have transmitted to you also. The chances of transmission of HIV is low from females to males compared to males to females but needs to be evaluated.

"The best way to know is to get yourself tested for HIV from any good laboratory".
You can opt for initial screening with an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to detect antibodies to HIV-1 infection.
