Picked On Eye, Red, Watering, Irritable Eyes. Is It Serious And Requires Immediate Medical Attention?

Question: Hi, i was pricked in the eye, while weeding yesterday, by one of our plants. It is watering a fair bit today and fairly irritable though not too bad. it is also red. it takes a couple of days to get into the doctors here and you have to wait for hours at emergency. is it likely to heal itself over time?
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The seriousness of the problem can be decided if the exact species of the plant is known.
If considered it to be non poisonous plants, there would be mild traumatic conjunctivitis which does water and present with redness.Such conditions are self limiting and recovery can be speeded by applying like KETORLAC a drop in the eye for twice in a day.
You can weight if you are sure that the plant is not poisonous.
Wish you good health.
