Pregnant. Reports Showed TSH 0.036 During Pregnancy. How Does It Affect?
Brief Answer:
please get TSHreceptor antibody done.
Detailed Answer:
Suppression of TSH to 0.1 is considered normal during the first 3 months of pregnancy.this is due to the hormone hCG normally produced by the fetus.action is necessary if the TSH is below 0.03, if there is weightloss of greater than 5% of body weight or if you have too much vomiting.the low TSH improves on its own by 14 weeks.if your endocrinologist suspects that there is a hlong standing increased thyroid function which may have been missed he/ she will usually ask for a TSH receptor antibody.a positive antibody may indicate that you require treatment with antithyroid drugs
