Recovering From Pneumonia. Tips On Good Diet To Get Stronger

default
Posted on Tue, 10 Jul 2012
Question: I'm recovering from having pneumonia. Doing great but took alot of drugs. Predinosone for 12 days (had many side effects), Levofloxacin and Fluconazole (this one was bad too). UGH. Not on anything now.
But I want to help my body get stronger and build it up. What can I do. I have no restrictions. Wondering about diet, vitamins Etc. Thank you!

Hello
Thanks for your query.

I will try my best to provide you with best possible professional recommendations to your questions.

The advice I would like to give you about getting back into your demanding regimen is start slow and start soon.

Start incorporating easy exercises like walking, yoga/stretching, and some light strength training on a regular basis. It will help you with your mood and energy level.

Good nutrition will not only build your body but also help your body fight illness. Eat a variety of healthy foods every day. Your diet should include fruits, vegetables, breads and protein such as meat, fish, and beans.

Be sure to drink enough liquids every day. This helps to keep your air passages moist and better able to get rid of germs and other irritants. You may feel like resting more. Slowly start to do more each day. Rest when you feel it is needed which is also very much important while recovering.

I advice you to quit smoking and do not allow others to smoke around you. It is good to avoid alcohol.

My advice is to go for healthy diet and start with easy exercises and also sooner the better, then going for aggressive diet, vitamins and packed proteins to build your body.

Yet again, I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.

Hope i have cleared your queries. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer
